About the artist

Guitarist, composer, songwriter

A musical triad united for nearly two decades, Rodrigo Rodriguez, Guilherme Salgueiro and Ygor Helbourn bring their shared journey to life in the album "Disrupção".

Originating from Regra Zero and collaborating across various artistic fronts — including notable projects such as "Do Brasil with Moína Lima" and Rodrigo Quik's solo ventures in "Perdidos na Selva" — this collaboration reaches a new peak in the most recent album.

The album that challenges expectations features Guilherme Salgueiro (bass; Monarco, Moacir Luz, Zé Catimba, Ana Costa, Ronaldo Barcelos, Dudu Nobre, Alcione) and Ygor Helbourn (drums; Marina Elali, Aki Kumar, Rodrigo Quik, Glaucus Linx). Yuri Helbourn also takes part in two tracks, playing bass in family synergy with his brother Ygor on drums. The album is produced and mixed by Cleidisleia, who also plays violin and fiddle.

Rodrigo, Guilherme and Ygor — together for nearly 20 years — shaped their music through a shared journey in Regra Zero and in several of Rodrigo's artistic fronts, such as Do Brasil with Moína Lima (daughter of Taiguara) and Rodrigo Quik's solo projects (Perdidos na Selva). In "Disrupção" this collaboration reaches a new level, where the familiarity between the musicians translates into inventive bass lines and precise drumming that fit perfectly into Rodrigo Rodriguez's engaging compositions. They had not met for years, did not rehearse together, and recorded exactly the way they heard a demo recorded by Rodrigo and Cleidisleia days before.

Produced in collaboration with Cleidisleia, who also plays violin and fiddle, "Disrupção" is a testament to Rodrigo Rodriguez's musical innovation. Cleidisleia, Guilherme Salgueiro, Yuri Helbourn and Ygor Helbourn add rich sound layers — it is the track "Disrupção" that highlights the true essence of the relationship between Rodrigo's guitar and voice.
